Optician Knowledge:
Q: The problem of screws come out of eyewires.

A: Quite often i have noticed that screws come out of eyewires because of the type and length of the screw, even when it is the correct thread.

These replacement screws which may have a good shank and perhaps only the bottom 1 mm is threaded are fantastic with big long barrels.

But once placed into a frame using a smaller barrels, your not receiving all the thread inside the barrel as you may be. it is going to could hold in the beginning, but usually does not go far.

Solution, use a screw that is certainly threaded entirely to the peak, or work with a snap and tap, PS, you can acquire the ones that are threaded the whole way to the top level even as cheap as people who are only partially threaded.

For anyone who is creating a problem getting the screw in to the first barrel, take a reamer or broach to make the outlet slightly larger.
