Optician Knowledge:
Q:I became identified as having PVD in 2009 once i was 48 yrs old. It doesn't have any better but slightly worse. Is this fact normal? (Very often find on the pc for 8hrs each day a minimum of three days each week).

A:A Posterior Vitreous Detachment can be quite common, and often leaves some new flash and floater as an after effect of the vitreous gel becoming detached on the retina. Unfortunately there's nothing that you can do, but it really usually improves somewhat as time passes. Since you feel yours is worse, I might provide an eye test as quickly as possible to be sure there is no difficulty with the retina. Utilizing a computer for hours on end won't go harm and isn't one factor in PVD.
